My Version 2.0 Assignment update
I have got the extension to start working the way I want it to. I am researching a way to communicate information for my extension to a server, but I am thinking I should be communicate to the server on startup of Mozilla fire fox or do it when the users click on the button. Also I haven’t decided how people contribute to this project as of now. Hope in a week I will thing of something, but if you have an ideas of a direction that I should take than I would really be great full for your input.
Watching a Bugzilla User
I watch Vlad for a week. He received a ton of emails I cannot believe how much he get every week. Most of the emails I received were about bugs and graphics. A high percentage of his emails were on Svg, Apng, and Bit maps.
FSOSS 2007
FSOSS the new wave of future open source development in today world. The Product and User Experience Design in Open Communities & Usability Anonymous: A 12 Step Program for Better User Experiences was presented by Mike Beltzner , Jay Goldman and David Crow. They kept the audience glue to their sits for both presentations. I believe they both talked about the same book, "Design Patterns" by Jenifer Tidwell. Mike Beltzner discussed about building a community and letting all users from around the world get involved, Jay Golman and David Crow talked about understanding the user decisions.
The face book presentation from Drupal workshop was good and they presented a lot of interesting concepts, an open source cross-language development framework. In some cases he got a little too technical to understand, but was nice on a overall lesson on the functions for face book.
Therefore the presentations at FSOSS were well done, but could touch more on first time users. That would be nice.
